🍕THROWBACK THURSDAY: BEFORE THE PIZZA, THERE WAS ROOT B**R! 🥤

Ever seen one of these? 👀

Back in 1949, Jocko and Shirley Diveley borrowed just $500 to open Jocko's Root B**r Stand on Georgetown Road in Danville!

🍺 Ice-cold root b**r and their famous Joy Boy sandwich helped make the drive-in a local favorite.

The original stand operated until 1961, when construction of Interstate 74 brought that chapter to a close.

And pictured here is an original Jocko's Root B**r jug, a little piece of Danville history! ❤️

💬 Did your parents or grandparents ever talk about the original root b**r stand? Maybe your family has an old photo, a story, or even one of these jugs tucked away somewhere!
