As we head into the busy spring and summer months, it felt like a good time to remind folks that there is LOTS of FREE parking in downtown Danville. Seriously, friends. There is lots. I promise.

đź…ż FREE public lot on 3rd Street - right across from Plaid Elephant. Some of the spaces in that lot are permit-only, but look for the bright blue Downtown Customer Parking signs and you'll be in good shape. They are almost never all full.

đź…ż FREE public lot on 4th Street - the old firehouse lot is now a free, paved parking lot for downtown patrons.

đź…ż FREE street parking - no meters to be seen. Brush up on your parallel parking skills and slide right in. Don't forget the side streets!

đź…ż FREE parking garage - there's a big, honking parking garage in the middle of downtown. It's always free for the first two hours, always free after 5pm, and always free on the weekends. This is a particularly good option if you're coming downtown for the day to enjoy a festival or other more lengthy business.
