To our valued friends, loyal customers, and incredible staff,
We want to thank our customers who have supported Garlex Pizza over the many years, especially during Covid-19. 2022 was Garlex’s best year ever. We have the best and most loyal customers ever. In fact, our customers are more than customers they have become are friends.
We want to thank our amazing staff. Our staff is what made Garlex Pizza successful throughout the many years. Without these awesome young men and young women and long timers (Jose, Dennis, Anthony, Jared, and Adam) Garlex Pizza would have never survived so long in this great community of Danville.
Garlex Pizza lost its lease. After being in Danville for over 30+ years, SPM Properties in Walnut Creek, CA (property management for our landlord, Tassajara Crossings) has decided not to honor our final 5-year option to rent. SPM Properties stated they did not receive our extension notice during the proper time window. Which is BS. SPM Properties is still operating under Covid-19 protocols meaning their doors are locked and no one can enter their office to get needed signatures. Therefore, you are required to place all letters and notices thru their mail slot in their front door. We tried to fight them with lawyers, but we could not afford the risk of possible losing due to Gary’s on-going fight with cancer. With the help of a financial backer, we offered to pay 5 years of rent in advance totaling over $635,000. SPM Properties rejected the offer. We will now look for a new home in Danville.
