🏃‍♀️🍦 THE BOURBON CHASE IS COMING — AND FREDDY’S IS STAYING OPEN LATE! 🍦🏃‍♂️

This Friday, October 2, nearly 3,000 runners from all across the country will be making their way through Boyle County for the Bourbon Chase Relay Race! They’ll travel through Perryville, stop at Wilderness Trail Distillery, and make their way into downtown Danville as part of their 200-mile journey across Central Kentucky.

And of course, Freddy’s Ice Cream Shoppe is joining in on the fun! ❤️🍦💙

We’ll be OPEN UNTIL MIDNIGHT Friday night so runners, relay teams, families, and everyone out enjoying the festivities can stop by for a sweet treat! 🍨🍦we will also have energy drinks and waters.

Downtown Danville will be full of excitement with a DJ, games, vendors, food, and plenty of people cheering on the runners. Come hang out, enjoy the race, and then stop by Freddy’s for some ice cream! 🏁🎉

Friends, we are ONE WEEK away from the fall Boozy Book Fair!! We'll be sharing all the promos and specials next week, but here's a quick FAQ for folks who are new to the fun.

Q - Where does this event take place?
A - The Boozy Book Fair is hosted by our good friends at Morley's Backyard

Q - But what if I don't drink or I want to bring my kids?
A - No problem! Morley's is a casual, family-friendly establishment with plenty of non-alcoholic beverage options. (I always get the Cup of Sunshine minus the booze.)

Q - What kinds of books will you have?
A - All kinds! Plaid Elephant Books brings books for babies through teenagers and our friends from the Centre College Bookstore bring grownup books so there's something for everyone. Given the spooky season, you can count on lots of seasonal books, from cozy romances to spooky kids books to terrifying grown-up titles.

Q - Can I come in costume?
A - Absolutely! In fact, we'll give you a prize if you're wearing festive attire!

Q - Will there be other activities, or just shopping?
A - First, you can never have too many books, but also: yes! We will have tarot and rune readings as well as a DIY spooky bookmarks table (both for a fee). Plus live music!
