There’s a pretty special story behind this photo.

Last night we had the pleasure of welcoming Jackie Taglieri, founder of the original Giacomo’s in Boston’s North End, to Magia for dinner and a visit with Richie.

What some of our Magia guests may not know is that Richie is also the owner of the original Giacomo’s on Hanover Street, carrying on the restaurant and the tradition Jackie began more than 40 years ago.

And that tradition is still getting recognized today. Giacomo’s was recently named #1 on Daily Rank Dept.’s 2026 list of the 50 Best Italian Restaurants in Massachusetts.

Seeing Jackie and Richie together here at Magia felt like the perfect opportunity to share a little of that history with all of you.

Giacomo’s and Magia each have their own identity and their own story, but there’s a connection between them that we’re very proud of. Great Italian food, warm hospitality and making people feel at home around the table.

From Boston’s North End to right here in Danvers, that tradition continues.
