Sharon Mansur Obituary

Sharon Marie Mansur (née Teschler), 77, of Dana Point, California, succumbed to her battle with cancer on April 8, 2024, passing away peacefully at home surrounded by family. She is survived by her brother Dennis Teschler and his wife Jeanne, stepson Todd Mansur, stepdaughter Shala Mansur O’Keefe, nephew Ron Teschler and his wife Cori, niece Elizabeth Teschler, nephew Micheal Teschler and his wife Sogol, niece Maggie Teschler, as well as many family members and lifelong friends. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents John and Julia Teschler and her brother Ronald Teschler.
Sharon was born on February 6,1947, at Park View Hospital in Los Angeles, California, as the middle child of three siblings. She was a graduate of San Gabriel Mission High School and earned an Art degree from CalState Los Angeles, where she was a member of the Theta Gamma Chi sorority. In 1980, Sharon and her then-husband Jon founded Jon’s Fish Market which offered the Dana Point community fresh seafood from “boat to table.” As the respected and successful proprietor of Jon’s Fish Market for more than 40 years, Sharon was well known in the community for her hard work and kind heart.
Sharon’s leisure time was filled with the enjoyments of the arts, delights of world travel, and camaraderie found with her poker, bunco, and pinochle groups. She was also a talented and accomplished angler and notably served as the president of the Dana Wharf Lady Anglers.
As a faithful member of St. Edwards the Confessor Catholic Church, Sharon’s devotion was a testament to her strong and enduring spirit. She embraced her faith with fervor and grace, and it served as a guiding light throughout her life.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered in Sharon’s honor at St. Edwards the Confessor Catholic Church in Dana Point on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 11am. A gathering to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held at Jon’s Fish Market at Dana Point Harbor, followed by a sunset burial at sea.
Her legacy will live on through the memories and stories shared by those who were lucky enough to know and love her. As we remember a life beautifully lived, please keep Sharon and her family in your prayers.
Memorial gifts may be made in Sharon’s name to the charity of your choice.

Sharon requested a Big Party so we will be starting the Festivities at 2pm in the Courtyard of Jon’s Fish Market . Followed at Sunset burial at Sea for those who chose .
Please respond if you will be attending the Butial at Sea so we know what vessels to use.
Thank You.
