At King Eider’s, we’re always looking for ways to celebrate the people and businesses that make our community special. When Casey Stevens of Stevens Monuments approached us with the idea of sandblasting our logo into our granite front step, we jumped at the opportunity—and we’re so glad we did.

Watching the process unfold was fascinating. What might seem like a simple design is actually the result of years of skill, precision, and craftsmanship. Step by step, Casey transformed a plain granite surface into a lasting piece of art that now welcomes guests through our front door.

Stevens Monuments has been perfecting their craft since 1975, and their talents extend far beyond monument design and placement. This same technique can be used for granite address markers, stone benches, memorial pieces, and countless other creative projects. Our front step is proof that with the right vision, stone can become something truly unique.

Casey’s roots run deep in this community. Born and raised here, he has served as a firefighter since his teenage years and currently serves as Fire Chief of neighboring Newcastle. Alongside that commitment to public service, he spent years learning the family business from his father and recently took the reins as owner of Stevens Monuments.

One thing we value deeply at King Eider’s is community. This new addition is more than just a logo—it’s a conversation piece, a warm welcome to our guests, and a showcase of the incredible craftsmanship that exists right here in our backyard.
