My version of Pho turned out great! I put a twist on it with some herbs, spices, Jalapeño peppers and added some Spinach & Shrimp! 🍤

🚨 Business Scam Awareness for Small Businesses & Event Vendors 🚨

Hey you guys! I must share a recent experience to help protect fellow business owners, caterers, and creatives.

We were contacted by someone requesting catering services who:

• Asked for menus and pricing
• Confirmed booking and a was good on sending the deposit
• Then today requested we accept extra funds on their behalf to pay a third-party vendor (a live band) bcuz the band did not take credit cards
• Asked us to forward those funds after they cleared

This is a known payment-forwarding scam commonly targeting caterers, photographers, venues, and event professionals, this is REAL!!!

If you ever receive a request to:

❌ Accept money for someone else
❌ Forward or transfer funds to a third party
❌ Act as a “middleman” for payments
❌ Rush payments due to “urgent” vendor needs

Please pause. These are major red flags. He thought we was Boo Boo the Fool! 😆 He was sent straight to SPAM and I am not taking about the can SPAM either!😆

At Sizzle with Soul, we only accept payments for our own services and never process payments on behalf of third parties.

Sharing this so others can stay informed and protected. 💼🤍 🗝️

I wanted to share a quick note from the catering side of the business…

We completely understand that clients want to explore their options. However, there is an important difference between comparing services and shopping around for ideas, menus, and pricing without real intent to book.

When caterers prepare quotes, customize menus, and outline event logistics, that work requires time, expertise, and availability on our calendar. Those dates are often held in good faith while conversations are active.

If you’re planning an event, a few things that truly help small businesses:

• Be transparent about your budget
• Let vendors know if you are still deciding
• Avoid requesting detailed proposals if you’re only gathering comparisons
• Communicate if your plans change
• Understand that deposits exist to fairly reserve dates

At Sizzle with Soul, we believe the best events are built on honesty, clarity, and mutual respect from the very beginning.
