Founded in 1918, by Mike Martinez, a Mexican immigrant, El Fenix is credited as “The Originator of Tex-Mex Cuisine.” It has been named an “All American Icon” by Nation’s Restaurant News and a must-see dining destination for visitors to North Texas. We are open and ready to serve you the Original Tex-Mex! Our new hours are Sunday-Thursday from 11am-8pm and Friday-Saturday from 11am-9pm. Join us for Happy Hour every Monday-Friday from 4-7pm and enjoy $2 domestic drafts, $3 import drafts, $3.49 original margaritas & $5 beer-ritas! Then, don't forget that we are also offering curbside & takeout specials along with online ordering for contactless pick-up.

We’re bringing the original Tex-Mex back to Downtown Dallas! We will be opening for dine-in, curbside and takeout starting Thursday, June 11th. Our new hours will be 11am-9pm Sunday-Thursday and 11am-10pm Friday-Saturday. We will be taking safety precautions recommended by the CDC and local authorities in order to keep our loyal guests and staff members safe. We are thrilled to be serving the community again and we look forward to seeing you very soon!
