Tomorrow is a very bittersweet day for the Coffeehouse. It is the last day of our beloved director, Megan Childs. She has been working at the Coffeehouse since 2021 and has served as our director since 2022.

Meg is a deeply loving, hard worker who serves humbly and sacrificially in all she does. She is such a radiant presence and contributes to our mission of excellence and stewardship. Through her creative ideas and genuine gift of hospitality, she has been instrumental in the Coffeehouse’s growth and innovation. Meg has pursued the Coffeehouse and the people that maintain it with such devotion and steadfastness. She has stewarded her role diligently and with glory to the Lord.

Meg, we dearly love you and support you as you follow the guidance of our Lord in your life! The impact that you’ve made here does not go unnoticed, and we honor you for the amount of love and care that you have put into the Coffeehouse. We are so proud of you, Megan!

Faith Craig 😇🤟🏼📸🍯

Faith is a freshman majoring in Entrepreneurship. She has been working at the Coffeehouse for 2 months now! Faith is intentional, engaging, and thoughtful. Outside of the Coffeehouse, she is involved in Kamp Love. When asked to share her favorite part about working in the Coffeehouse, she said, “I love getting to meet new people, chat with friends at the bar, and I love how the Coffeehouse feels like family!”

Fun fact about Faith: She loves all things fitness/nutrition, podcasts, and pickleball! She is also learning the ukulele

Jaxsen Hall 🕺❤️🔥🤙😎

Jaxsen is a junior majoring in Finance. He has been working at the Coffeehouse for 2 months now! Jaxsen is approachable, zealous, and consistent. Outside of the Coffeehouse, he is involved in Kamp Love. When asked to share his favorite part about working in the Coffeehouse, he said, “Getting to know the people that walk in, and seeing them leave with a smile on their face. The Coffeehouse gives me an amazing opportunity to get to know all of the people at DBU, and more than that getting to serve my friends blesses me more than I ever thought it would!”

Fun fact about Jaxsen: He is ridiculously color blind, but he is still a cool guy… we promise!

Kamilah Ibarra 🤣🥲

Kami is a sophomore majoring in Pre PA. She has been working at the Coffeehouse for 2 months now! Kami is sweet, gentle, and faithful. Outside of the Coffeehouse, she is involved in the Hispanic Student Union and assists MTC. When asked to share her favorite part about working in the Coffeehouse, she said, “Seeing all the customers and also having this whole new family in the Coffeehouse!”

Fun fact about Kami: She plays piano for her church. She is Mexican/ Argentinian, but she was born in Minnesota.

Averie is a sophomore majoring in Entrepreneurship. She has been working at the Coffeehouse for 3 months now! Averie is genuine, gentle, and steadfast. Outside of the Coffeehouse, she is involved in her church Southside Fellowship. When asked to share her favorite part about working in the Coffeehouse, she said, “I love getting to know and serve our sweet DBU community!! I love getting to learn more about espresso and dialing in!!”

Fun fact about Averie: she knows how to play the harmonica!

Caleb Webb 😼😛🤷‍♂️

Caleb is a sophomore majoring in Music Education. He has been working at the Coffeehouse for almost 4 months now! Caleb is individualistic, creative, and goofy. Outside of the Coffeehouse, he is involved in DBU Chorale and he is a member of Psi Omega Phi. When asked to share his favorite part about working in the Coffeehouse, he said, “Interacting with customers at the bar!”

Fun fact about Caleb: His favorite Spider Man is Andrew Garfield, and he drinks too much coke for one person.
