One of my favorite childhood memories was waking up on Saturday mornings to the smell of coffee cake baking in the oven. Before cartoons, before chores, before the day really started, there was always a warm slice waiting on the kitchen counter.

This recipe has been a family favorite for years. My mom would make it on quiet weekend mornings, and somehow the smell of cinnamon and buttery streusel baking in the oven could get everyone out of bed faster than any alarm clock.

Despite its name, coffee cake doesn't actually contain coffee. It's simply the perfect companion to a fresh cup. With its tender cake, layers of cinnamon streusel, and crumbly topping, it's the kind of recipe that brings people together around the table.

Today, in honor of National Coffee Day, were sharing this family favorite and a little taste of those Saturday morning memories.

We loved being part of this parent networking event, where connections were made, ideas were shared, and relationships were strengthened.
