Sad Pupdate 11/25: After finding a local foster and while I was working on securing a rescue to back Maddie, I learned that the shelter was allowing her adopter that let her get loose twice in 2 weeks to take her back. This poor girl is going to end up hit by a car next time she gets out and the owner definitely isn’t going to get her the surgery she needs…. I’m just devastated. We were finally going to get her safe & find her the best home after having surgery to repair her fracture, but now we can’t. I’m so sorry Maddie, we tried. I hope you will be okay. 😭💔

⭐ Meet Maddie
Maddie is a sweet, gentle 9-month-old girl who greets people with soft eyes, a loose wiggly body, & a sweet little tail wag. She can be shy in her kennel, but the moment she’s outside, she blossoms.. playful, social, & eager for affection. Volunteers consistently describe her as friendly, warm, & happy to approach.
Despite being injured, she remains calm, gentle, & cooperative. This girl has such a kind spirit.
Maddie has a distal femoral fracture in her right hind leg and needs treatment beyond what the shelter can provide. She urgently needs a rescue to step in so she can receive the surgery and pain management she needs.
