We’re excited to announce that we are now proudly serving Elevate Coffee Trading for our pour over coffee. ☕️

We are at teahouse at heart 🫖❤️ but always inspired by the art of a calm pour. We believe that tea and pour over coffee share the same ritual; patience precision in a peaceful pause in your day.
We think Kalita USA matches the tea house charm perfectly 😍

The summer heat has over stayed its welcome and we are all yearning for brisk autumn mornings and golden hours. Here at the teahouse fall has made its grand entrance.
The tea parlor is enchanted with decorations rich in fall aromas.

Now the kitchen has just finished preparing your second course and has sent it out to your table. Crisp, sweet and chilled watermelon mingles together with bright fresh cucumber. The chefs have dressed both of the ingredients with a savory fresh basil pesto an added drizzle of lime honey blend. To bring your dish to a rich result the chefs finish with peppery arugula and creamy, umami goat cheese. This is not just a watermelon salad it’s a bold summer inspired salad made just for you.

Your tea has been steeped to its perfect flavor and the chef just sent out your first course. It’s a chilled cantaloupe soup.
Ripe cantaloupe is blended with an array of freshly squeezed citrus juice such as lemons, limes and oranges. The kitchen then balances the acidity with the bold sweetness of honey, finishing with slight accents of salt, black pepper, mint and yogurt to round it all back in.
It’s delicate, tangy, sweet, savory and very refreshing.
The perfect way to begin your afternoon tea service.

Looking back down memory lane is always a little magical. ✨
Thirty years ago, Cris Barreiro started Potpourri of Silk as a wedding and quinceañera cake shop, pouring her creativity, talent, and heart into every celebration. Over the years, Potpourri has grown and evolved—from cakes to lunch, and now to the little yellow teahouse where we gather over afternoon tea. While so much has changed, one thing has always remained the same: our love for Oak Cliff and the people who have made this journey possible.
To our family—thank you for the countless hours, unwavering support, and love you’ve poured into Potpourri through every season. And to our wonderful customers, whether you’ve been with us since the cake shop days or just discovered us over tea, thank you for allowing us to be part of your celebrations, traditions, and everyday moments.
We are so grateful for the past 30 years and everyone who has been part of our story. Here’s to the memories we’ve made together—and to many more shared around the tea table. 💛🫖

Dearest Gentle Reader,
The rains of April have dutifully fulfilled their charge, ushering in the bloom of May—and with it, a most bittersweet turn. Our beloved Bridgerton bill of fare now takes its final bow. One can hardly help but sigh at its departure, though such endings often make way for equally enticing beginnings.
Pray, do not despair. Even now, preparations are quietly underway for a new and most delectable menu, set to debut on Mother’s Day weekend. One dares to expect it shall be nothing short of splendid.
It has been my distinct pleasure to keep your acquaintance through these notes. Though I may retreat into the shadows for a time, rest assured, dear reader—I am never far, and I shall return when the moment is most opportune.
