Because apparently caffeine is the only thing standing between me and a complete system shutdown.

Just gotta survive the rest of this workweek before diving headfirst into next week’s chaos: prepping syrups, baking, packaging, and questioning every life decision that led me to the Piney Woods W**e Festival in Lindale. 🤣

Nothing says relaxation like working all week and then turning your kitchen into a one-woman production facility.

At this point, I’m not running on caffeine. I’m being held together by it. 🤷‍♀️

We have officially invaded Vector Brewing’s HausFest! 🍻💜

The table is loaded, the bottles are lined up, and I’ve brought enough handcrafted chaos to make some questionable decisions look downright reasonable.

🍍 Flip rolls are making their market debut! Sweet, savory, and absolutely disrespectful to your self-control.

🍹 Small-batch syrups, cocktail goodies, and all the usual Swizzle & Whisk shenanigans are here too!

I’m here until 5 PM, so come say hi, grab something delicious, and help justify the ridiculous number of hours I spent preparing for this.

Currently consuming caffeine like it’s a competitive sport. ☕️

Tomorrow is Vector Brewing’s Hausfest, which means today my house has become a chaotic, slightly unhinged episode of Flip This House.

Except nobody’s renovating anything. I’m just surrounded by dough, butter, questionable decisions, and an increasingly concerning number of flip rolls.

Tomorrow’s lineup of bad decisions:

Tonight had approximately 94 hours between 8pm and 11pm.

No weird guests. No creepy guests. Everybody was actually good tonight, which frankly feels suspicious, but I’ll allow it.

And now I have zero days off until I basically have to drag my body directly to Vector for Hausfest.

Then we reset the clock and do it all over again for Lindale the following weekend.

So anyway, October is going great.

Apparently I looked at my full-time job, two festivals, prep, baking, syrups, and the few remaining scraps of my sanity and said:

Hear me out… what if I simply never rested again?

Spent 12 hours making syrups, mixers, drinking things “for research,” and turning my kitchen into a small-batch FDA case study.

Then I ran out of Licor 43.

Bold of the universe to test me after I’d already made my own dupe.

So now it’s bourbon, Spiced Vanilla 43 Dupe, black walnut bitters and the smug satisfaction of being both the problem and the solution.

I’m done creating things today.

Unless I have another idea.

Which I won’t.

Probably.

I love building a cocktail from scratch. Measuring, shaking, tasting, tweaking until it’s just right. 🍸

But sometimes you don’t have six different ingredients hanging around.

Sometimes you don’t want to juice three citrus fruits.

And sometimes you want a damn good drink without turning your kitchen into a bar shift.

So I made the mixers.

All the flavor, balance, and curated chaos already handled. You bring the spirit (or don’t), add the mixer, and suddenly you look like you had a whole plan.

Because cocktails can be a hobby.

They can also just be a drink. 🥃

Planning upcoming events, spending money I absolutely do not have in an attempt to make some, and generally operating on caffeine, spite, and questionable financial decisions.

So I made a drink to take the edge off.

Apparently the edge was espresso flavored. ☕️🥃
