I had the extraordinary privilege of witnessing President Carter join Willie Nelson for a heartfelt rendition of Georgia On My Mind. President Carter’s relationship with music was a remarkable blend of strategic insight, generational evolution, and genuine appreciation. As a Southerner who grew up during the era of segregation, he deeply understood the unifying power of music—its ability to bridge divides, foster dialogue, and connect communities. Through his inclusive politics, he sought to transcend barriers of class, race, and culture. For him, music wasn’t just an art form—it was a source of inspiration and a catalyst for change.
We embrace the same source of inspiration as a catalyst of change as we embark on our mission to help create a space that welcomes art, music, local craft & provisions with our community.
