KAFEINA KAFE
We were impressed with this little coffee shop, it’s local and had a nice relaxing lounge vibe. The coffee was good, but not great, the eats were delicious, though still along the theme of a premium Costco run, something typical of many coffee shops. The seats were very comfortable and the staff was great. It was clean and the background music was exactly that, background, so we didn’t have to yell to hear each other.

I think this was previously a bank or something, and they have used the space very well. When you walk inside, you’re greeted with a comfortable relaxing environment, a 3rd space kind of place, or a study spot as you brush up on a work project or prepared for a quiz at school. There is ample seating of vary types, tables and couches, and with the various small walls, it helps keep the noise lower so you can have a conversation without yelling. LA ARGENTINA – wow, fantastic place. Super friendly staff who greeted me as soon as I came in, I felt welcomed and wanted. The place is spotless and I like the wood tables as they contrast with a mostly colonial tile and glass environment. They have a large selection of ice cream and other treats as well and they make everything themselves. Read more, find more...

WAH COFFEE KITCHEN - Another great Find. Staff was excellently friendly and helpful, the place was clean, even the bathroom sink was accessible for wheelchair users. The Coffee was great, the eats were a nice mix of common items and local treats from the Pakistani region, giving guest a nice change from the typical coffee shop eats sourced from Costco. They were delicious and comforting. A great 3rd space and for coworking.

HARAZ - Exotic coffee lovers dream. This place was clean, had attentive and friendly staff, and the coffeee, wow, wonderful. Pictured, we had French press dark roast coffee, Saudi coffee, Haraz Frappe, and Turkish coffee along with a puff pastry filled with beef. They have other options as well. If you haven’t tried this place, you don’t deserve to drink coffee. Did you know coffee originates in Yemen? They carry a variety of Yemeni coffees, talk about told world delight.

M TEA & COFFEE - The word “coffee” in their name is misleading, they don’t sell coffee beverages except in the winter (Texas wintertime; Jan, Feb). The staff was fine, a bit reserved, but nice. The place looked nice but needed some cleaning TLC, which isn’t good considering we were the only customers there, every table was dirty except 3. What you’re getting is mostly a cold specialty beverage menu along with some seafood snack variations, an odd combination, but kind of works if you give it a try.

RANG COFFEE - So much potential. This has an Asian trendy feel, and the staff was so nice. The place was clean and everything looked inviting. The coffee was just coffee, but the specialty drinks were overpowering in additive flavors. The eats were standard Costco type fair, but they had no silverware so that we could cut it and to share forcing us to use our hands and end up with greasy finger tips. It’s a great 3rd space and good for coworking with others or alone.

ORAZURE - This little hidden gem among a behemoth suburban HEB was a wonderful discovery. Situated inside a large grocery store, it has its own walls, a friendly staff, comfortable seating and surprisingly good coffee. The eats were limited in selection but tasty, a premium Costco type pastry.

THE COFFEE HOUSE AT WEST END - This seems to be an old red brick converted warehouse with wood interior which really sells the stereotypical “coffee shop” feel. Staff was nice and attentive and the place was clean, although if you’re in a wheelchair, we didn’t see a way to get upstairs or to the rooftop seating, so you’ll be ground floor chilling only. (Not sure if it complies with the 1992 ADA law and amendments covering significant rennovations which require equal accessibility improvements). The eats could use some improvement, they seem more like premium Costco coffee shop items than anything that helps this place stand out, although, we still recommend that you try this place.

LUCE AVENUE COFFEE ROASTERS - Meh, it’s there. I highly doubt this coffee shop roasts anything considering they are located in a large H-E-B grocery store. Forget getting a seat and relaxing as there are only two bar stools. Staff was nice, the coffee was coffee, and the place was clean. It’s a coffee shop without the shop or experience.

HARBOR’S EDGE COFFEE & GOODS - We recommend this boutique shop, it’s small, and opened in 2023. It’s accessible for wheelchairs but the last part going into the shop had a 4 inches ledge that might be difficult for some. Staff was friendly, it was clean, and the coffee was coffee. However the Cosmic Brownie was out of this world. The eats were your average coffee shop Costco run.
