💛🎗️ If you’re new here, I thought I’d introduce myself and share a little about the heart behind Love, Hope & Cupcakes. 🧁

Hi! I’m Candace, the baker behind Love, Hope & Cupcakes. 💛

I’m a wife, a mom, and most importantly, the very proud mom of a childhood cancer survivor. 🎗️ Our family has walked a road I never imagined we would have to walk, and that experience changed my heart forever.

Baking has always been something I love, but Love, Hope & Cupcakes has become so much more than just making desserts. It’s a way for me to take something I love doing and use it to give back to families who are living through some of the hardest days of their lives.

I make everything from custom cakes and cupcakes to cake pops, decorated cookies, chocolate-covered treats, pies, and more. I absolutely love getting to be a small part of your birthdays, weddings, baby showers, celebrations, and everyday special moments. 🧁🍪🎂

But the part of my business that means the most to me is that a percentage of every order goes toward helping local families with children battling cancer. 🎗️💛

Every day, 41 families hear the words no parent should ever have to hear: “Your child has cancer.”

In an instant, their lives are divided into before and after. Childhood is replaced by appointments, hospital stays, treatments, scans, and uncertainty.

But behind this statistic are 41 children with names, personalities, favorite toys, big dreams, and families who love them beyond measure.

This Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, help us make their stories—and the urgent need for more research, effective treatments for difficult-to-treat cancers like DIPG and DMG, and safer treatments for all children—impossible to ignore. 💛

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who are no longer with us. 🇺🇸❤️
Today is more than cookouts and celebrations — it’s about remembering the sacrifices made for the freedoms we enjoy every day. May we never forget those who gave everything for this country and the families who continue to carry their memory.

Keep an eye out for a golden glow across Houston 💛
From September 22–24, Houston City Hall will light up gold in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Earlier this month, all Texas Children’s campuses were also lit gold to mark the occasion.

ℹ️ Cancer remains the leading cause of disease-related death in children and adolescents. Every day in the U.S., approximately 45 children are diagnosed—and around 5 lose their lives to the disease.

At Texas Children's Hospital, we’re proud to be ranked among the top pediatric cancer centers in the country. Our teams work tirelessly alongside families and community partners to move us closer to a future where every child has a cure.

Thank you to Special Events, City of Houston for helping raise awareness for this important issue.

The long term effects of the cancer journey on PARENTS is staggering. The trauma from what we seen, the fears we have faced, the real life nightmare we could never wake up from...to say having a kid with cancer “changed us” is the greatest understatement. It changes our DNA. Forever impacts the lens through which we see the world. And mental health support services for parents during and after treatment are shockingly absent. We need better care for PARENTS, too!
