In memory of Atlas, she was our exchange student from Turkey back in 2024, she was a daughter, a friend and an amazing intelligent person to be around. She had good sense of humor, kind heart and sharp mind. We are shocked and deeply saddened by such unexpected and tragic loss, our deepest condolences to the family and friends. R.I.P. beautiful Ayse, you were loved and gonna be remembered by many.

Shout out to Bryce Swanson, he has been our employee for the past few seasons. Indeed, we had the honor of becoming his first employer and opening the door to the experience of the restaurant/bakery business. We have nothing but great things to say about Bryce; he’s a graduate 🧑‍🎓 this year, and we are so proud of him. It’s amazing to see him growing into such a hardworking and dedicated young man!

The sweetest little roadside stop in South Dakota is Purple Pie Place. You pull in and the second you open the door, you catch that warm, sugary smell and see a case full of pies that makes you slow down and stare. You grab a thick slice of berry pie, a sweet cherry, or a bold apple, and you find out fast the crust is flaky and the filling is juicy. You add a scoop of vanilla on top or snag a cookie for the road, because the homemade stuff is the whole point. Service is quick, prices feel fair, and the folks behind the counter keep it friendly and no-frills. You walk back out with a box in your hands and already start planning your next stop.
