Street closures for something cool! There may be detours to your morning cup of coffee.

Many of our community members have heard by now that Paramount Pictures 🎥 🎬 will be filming Mayor of Kingstown here are the Western Maryland Railway Station. Dates of filming will be Wednesday, June 3, Thursday June 4th, and Friday June 5th. Rehearsals will be happening on Tuesday June 2nd.

Needless to say things will be a bit hectic on our end of the City. Most of the filming will be conducted at the Western Maryland Railway Station. Filming hours will be from approximately 7am-9pm.

📍Baltimore St will be closed from Mechanic St to Greene Street. 🚗 Parking at Canal Place will be restricted. We recommend parking under the bridge off of Harrison Street.
👮Cumberland City Police will be onsite to assist with safe traffic flow.
💥Please be aware there will be prop fi****ms and simulated gunfire during filming.

For everyone asking how Lotus has been, she and her family are doing great! We have had a blast together, and please join us in wishing Lotus and her family a fond farewell! Basecamp has grown so much with Lotus behind the bar, making everyone who visited day a bit brighter. We wish her well for everything the future holds! Thank you!

If you’ve been drinking Basecamp lately, you’ve been sipping on some of the best Costa Rican beans I have ever gotten in.

I have learned a ton about Finca LaAmistad lately and they are truly an amazing, long running, farm with fantastic core principles and practices in producing their coffee.

And this San Marcos micro lot is just real solid!

They have both been part of blends and on feature lately.

Part of this “Market Volatility” that I start talking about if you get me talking long enough is scattered supply and pricing. The silver lining to that aspect of the game is that sometimes it makes sense to purchase some interesting coffees!

We have teamed up with Bobcat Dining at The Chesapeake Dining Hall on FSU’s campus! The Dining hall is open to the public and is a great spot in Frostburg to get fresh fantastic food along with a great cup of locally roasted Coffee!

We are very excited to be the coffee of choice at the upcoming Wills Hotel! At every meeting, I’ve become more informed about the quality of food and dining experience they plan to bring to the area. We are happy to be part of that!
