Muss & Turner's Neighborhood joint with no culinary boundaries & no pretense. Muss was a chef on the rise and Turner was a server seeking purpose.

Muss & Turner worked together in the late nineties at The Food Studio, which was part of Fifth Group Restaurants. Turner left The Food Studio in late 2000 to take a job as Food & Beverage Manager at East Lake Golf Club, while Muss continued to climb the ladder and ultimately landed as the Executive Chef at Sala. Muss and Turner both lived in Smyrna, stayed connected and would get together with the

ir wives to cook, eat, drink and be merry. One "Manhattan fueled" evening in 2002, the two started talking about opening a restaurant together. After a year or so of kicking around ideas for fine dining, gourmet markets and more, we finally decided to just build the place we'd want to go to or work for ourselves. What is the food, drink atmosphere and hospitality like? If we don't love it ourselves, we don't want anything to do with it. That has never changed and is the primary basis for all our decisions. One thing led to another and three years later, on February 8, 2005 we opened M&T v.1 which was deli, gourmet retail, wine & beer shop. By January 2006, M&T v.2 was launched which was a deli, gourmet retail and full service bistro with wine & beer bar. In December 2010 we joined forces with Chris Hall, another Smyrnite and while he became a partner in M&T, we launched Local Three Kitchen & Bar in West Buckhead. And in May of 2012, M&T v.3 turbo made its debut. We updated the kitchen (desperately needed) and renovated the dining room space AND we added a hidden bar next door called Eleanor's. Named for our friend, drinking buddy, de facto Mom, in-house Sage, and the fabric that holds "it" all together for us. The experience we intend to create at Eleanor's represents all that is great about a remarkable woman! We are thrilled to be a part of the Smyrna community and look forward to being a neighborhood joint the community can depend on for many more years to come.

Years in the making, finally in your glass. Introducing Lando wines ‘Unsukay Proprietary Blend’ Pinot Noir, v. 2024, a collaboration between Unsukay and our friend Sam Lando, made from Sonoma coast pinot noir grapes that honestly we still can’t believe we got our hands on (long story, nda, you understand). 114 cases. 1,368 bottles. 18 months in barrel. Light cranberry, tart cherry, rose petals, a finish that lingers longer than most conversations worth having. Available at M&T, Roshambo, and Local Three. Some wines you wait years for...this is one of them. 🍷

Two guys had a conversation over a Manhattan about opening a restaurant in Smyrna, Georgia. Three years later, they did it. What started as a deli 21 years ago became a bistro, the bistro grew a speakeasy, and Smyrna became home. We’re still here. Still the same reason we opened.

This Father’s Day we’re operating on a strict ‘dad doesn’t lift a finger’ policy.

Brunch buffet runs 10am-3pm…think cinnamon rolls, prime rib, jambalaya, loaded bloody marys, and enough smoked meat to make dad quietly emotional.

Dinner follows 5-8pm with the regular menu plus a 22oz bone-in ribeye, wood fired oysters rockefeller, coffee braised lamb shank, and bread pudding strong enough to make him forget he ever threatened to ‘turn this car around.’ Dad’s only responsibility is picking a seat…we’ve got the rest. 😎
