We want to thank everyone for making our last week the greatest we ever had! The outpouring of love and support from our customers and friends has just meant so much to us. We have really loved reading all of the kind words written to us this week on Facebook, and all the well wishes that we received in person. We thank everyone for the nice cards and gifts as well. It was such a great evening tonight with so many of our favorite people there to share it with us. From our entire Garlitz’s Pizza family we want to say the biggest “Thank You” for being a part of our lives for 28 years and allowing us to be a part of yours! ❤️🍕🥲

Hi everyone! Jim II here. This post is very bittersweet to write. As many of you may have heard by now, Garlitz’s Pizza was recently sold and my wonderful parents Jim and Donna will finally be retiring. As small business owners, I’m sure they were wondering if this day would actually ever come. This Friday, September 16 will be our final night as the current operators of our family business. We have run our pizza shop for 28 years and it has been a wonderful business for our family! The fun and success that we have had are far greater than we could have ever imagined, and so much of this success is due to our wonderful customers! And for this we say a huge “Thank You!” We have always tried our best to provide great food, great customer service, and just treat all of our customers like we would like to be treated. And you all showed us how much you appreciated that. We have served old friends and made many new friends along the way.
You may have noticed some new faces at the pizza shop over the past few weeks as we are training the new owners. The Davis family of Ellerslie has purchased the restaurant and plan to operate it just like we have. The name of the business will be changing, however they will be keeping the same menu and recipes that everyone seems to really enjoy. I’m sure many of you will be happy to know that they plan to be open more hours than us. There will be a brief closing of the restaurant after Friday night for a few weeks as we continue to train them and make a few kitchen updates. I’m sure they will announce their opening date very soon. We encourage you all to support the Davis family like you have done with us. If you don’t already know them, we feel confident that you will really like them. As we have gotten to know them more over the past few months, we have all become very good friends and we wish them nothing but success! We believe that we are leaving it in very capable hands.
This is definitely a time of mixed emotions for our family. While my parents are definitely looking forward to retirement, we are all sad to be leaving our business and our wonderful customers. So if your hungry, please stop by this week and allow us to serve you again, or feel free to just stop in and allow us to say “Thank You! “ one last time. On behalf of myself Jim II, my mom Donna, my dad Jim, my sister Dawn, and everyone who has helped contribute to our business over the years we say Thank You, we’ll miss you and we Love You! 🥰🍕❤️

Garlitz’s Pizza will be closing tonight, June 15 at 7:00 in order for us to be able to prepare for a large pizza party. We will stop taking orders at 6:45. We apologize for the inconvenience.

As of now, our phone is once again out of order. This is the third time in about the last 10 days. We will be open for business at 4:00, but we are obviously unable to take call-in orders. Thank you again for your patience. We really have no idea when this situation will be permanently repaired.

We are once again experiencing a telephone outage. We are apparently part of a larger problem with the phone service in the Cumberland area. We are open for walk-in customers, but we are unable to take any advanced orders. Hopefully this will be fixed soon, but we really have no idea how long it will take. Our phone was off for 3 days last week. Thank you for your patience!

Our phone line is back in service and we will be open tonight at 4:00. We apologize for the inconvenience last week and we hope that our telephone problems are now behind us. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We look forward to serving you this week!

Does anyone in the area have Segra telephone service? That is our phone company and we are wondering if anyone else is experiencing problems. We are told that they use the Verizon phone lines.

Our telephone service was out of order this evening. We were informed by the telephone company that a fiber-optic cable had been cut somewhere in the area. Unfortunately, that is all we know at this point. Hopefully it will be repaired soon and our phone service will be restored. We were able to remain open, however, we weren't able to take call-in orders. Thank you to all of our customers who just walked in and waited for their orders this evening.
