Chris ( Chris Bryhan ) and June ( June L Park Art ) were in town for a wedding and stopped by for tea.
We had a long talk about Tai Chi and weddings and neurodivergency.
FUN TEA STORY:
Chris studies under the same Tai Chi Grandmaster as me - Master Wang ( Master Henry Wang ). I used to stop at Chris' house when he lived in Seattle before heading over to Vancouver Island for M Wang's week long summer Tai Chi camp.
In 2012, we stopped at Floating Leaves to buy some tea before heading to camp. Shiuwen at Floating Leaves served us a few different types of tea, but Chris settled on Buddha Hand. When we were at camp M Wang liked the tea also.
Since 2012, I've been trying to find Buddha Hand again. Floating Leaves only had it in stock one more time - in 2016 and it wasn't the same tea. I also found a version from Taiwan Sourcing, which was also good, but it was also not the same.
In spring of this year, I found that Mountain Stream Tea was selling a batch of 2010s Buddha Hand that was found somewhere in Taiwan. I ended up getting it in July of this year ( one month before Chris got into town ). This was the exact same tea we had in 2012.
14 years later, I was finally able to find this tea and share it with the person that introduced me to it ππ΅
