Copiah County Medical Center to Host Hope In Every Step Breast Cancer Walk October 3
Community invited to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones and raise breast cancer awareness
HAZLEHURST, Miss. — Copiah County Medical Center invites the community to participate in the Hope In Every Step Breast Cancer Walk on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the hospital in Hazlehurst. The event will bring together survivors, families, friends, and neighbors to raise awareness, celebrate survivorship, and honor the memory of those lost to breast cancer.
Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., and the walk begins at 10 a.m. The event is free and open to the public, welcoming both individuals and teams.
Whether walking in recognition of their own journey, in support of someone undergoing treatment, or in memory of a loved one, participants will have an opportunity to come together with others whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.
Participants are urged to bring photographs and messages for the Survivor and Memory Walls. These special displays will offer a meaningful place to celebrate survivors, share encouragement, and pay tribute to loved ones who are no longer with us.
Families, businesses, churches, schools and community organizations are encouraged to gather a group and walk together. Individual walkers are equally welcome. At the heart of the event is an opportunity to recognize the people and stories behind a breast cancer diagnosis and surround those affected with community support.
Optional fundraising opportunities will benefit the CCMC Cares Foundation’s efforts to assist residents facing breast cancer-related hardships. Fundraising is not required to participate.
