Team Member Tuesday!

Last but certainly not least….

Hi, I’m Marina and I’m going into my junior year at Crystal Lake Central High School.

Before moving here from California I was involved with my schools community including our Mock Trial team, and a youth-led initiative that was dedicated to supporting immigrant communities around the Los Angeles area. Now that I will have a full year at Central, I am looking forward to getting even more involved with our Student Council, joining the yearbook staff, and so much more!

A movie I’d recommend:

If you like Halloween or an offbeat 2000s movies, Donnie Darko is one of the best ones out there! But if you’re looking for something lighter I also highly recommend Little Manhattan (2005). It’s a classic about young first love.

One hobby I enjoy:

I love reading in my free time! I believe reading is one of the most important things a person can do since it allows us to gain new perspectives. I think it makes us all a little more empathetic and better humans.

Why Menchie’s?

Funny enough I lived right in front of a Menchie’s back in California. When I moved to Crystal Lake and realized there was one opening right near my new home, I felt like it was meant to be and that it was time to apply. I have so many precious memories hanging out with friends at Menchie’s, and I wanted to work in an environment that is happy and welcoming for others.

We’re so happy Marina found her way to our Menchie’s family! Make you say hi to her next time you stop in!
