🚨 Community Alert from Taste of Benedict’s 🚨
Today, an individual entered Taste of Benedict’s and scammed two of our high school team members out of $150. This happened in just moments, and the person took advantage of their youth and inexperience.
We want to make our community aware so local businesses and families can stay vigilant. These types of scams often involve confusion tactics, pressure, or fast-talking to manipulate young employees at the register.
👉 If you own or work at a nearby business, please take a moment to remind your staff—especially younger team members—to be cautious of anyone acting suspiciously or requesting unusual transactions.
👉 If you recognize the man in the photo or have any information about this incident, please contact CLPD. We’ve already taken steps to prevent this from happening again and are working with our team to ensure they feel supported and safe.
