Sometimes Facebook memories have impeccable timing. 🩷

This morning it reminded me that 13 years ago I was apparently already trying to do 47 completely unrelated things in one week. 😂

And then this popped up.

Someone I know showed her granddaughters a book that I wrote and illustrated, and they thought it was cool that she knew the person who made it.

That stopped me for a minute.

Because most days I’m thinking about the next mural. The next sign. The next project. The paint I need to buy. The thing I haven’t finished yet.

I don’t always stop long enough to look at the things that already exist because I decided to make them.

A book.
Murals.
Signs.
Art.
Experiences.
A little turquoise gecko who keeps reminding people to dream big.

Apparently, this wasn’t a phase 13 years ago.

I just kept making things. 🩷

And I think I’ll keep doing exactly that.

Do what you can with what you have.
Then see what happens. ✨

There’s a lot more to painting murals than the finished wall.

Sometimes it’s a sunrise before the workday starts.
Sometimes it’s a paint tray, a ladder, a road trip, a ridiculous number of fish, or a view that makes you stop for a second and think…

This is my job. 🩷

I’ve painted in some pretty incredible places, met some pretty incredible people, and collected a whole lot of views along the way.

Some are beautiful.
Some are messy.
Some involve paint in places paint was absolutely NOT supposed to be. 😂

But every one of them is part of this crazy little art life I’ve built.

And I wouldn’t trade the view. 🎨🌊

A little update, friends:

We have the Karma Beach House blocked for Good Karma Weekend, but that hold comes off tomorrow unless we receive enough deposits to lock it in.

So if you’ve been thinking about coming, this is the moment to raise your hand. 💗

Good Karma Weekend is a small, creative beach getaway in Crystal Beach with art, connection, good food, beach time, and a whole lot of breathing room from normal life.

We’re keeping it intentionally small, with only a handful of spots available.

Your $200 deposit holds your spot, and if we don’t reach the minimum needed to confirm the house, that deposit is refunded.

No pressure. No giant retreat crowd. Just a really special weekend I’ve been dreaming up for women who could use a little creativity, connection, and Good Karma. ✨
