To My Friends
It’s with great regret to announce that as of March 3rd 2019 Mattioli’s Pizza will close indefinitely.
4 years ago my family and I started with nothing but a pizza pan, a recipe, and a dream. What it turned into was some of the most challenging, and rewarding experiences of my life. The business and personal relationships I’ve formed over the years will continue to impact, and influence me for the rest of my days.
Unfortunately due to multiple unforeseen circumstances I have to let that dream fade once again back into the ether.
I like to personally thank all my customers for taking a chance on a small out of the way pizzeria in a basement. I thank all of you for both your financial, and moral support over the past 4 years.
Special thanks to the Struebig family, for working with us, and welcoming us into their family.
To the Old Sheriffs House Foundation, for including us in all of their events, for keeping us honest, and most importantly for being our friends. You guys will catch those ghosts one day don’t give up.
To the Crown Point Car Cruise attendees, for waiting until 7 o’clock to eat dinner, just to buy our slices. I’ll see you all again, and maybe just maybe the wiring in my car will be fixed.
And special thanks to the Crown Point Mayors Office, the Crossroads Chamber of Commerce, and all the vendors of the Corn Roast, and Food and Arts Fair where I made friends who guide and help me to this day.
And thank you to all my family, friends, and employees who supported me and helped me deliver pizzas, prep the food, and for slaving in 95 degree heat just to serve slices out of a tent to a eager crowd. Those miserable days truly were some of the happiest days of my life.
And thank you to my brother Adam without whom this pizzeria would of never have been possible. We gave it hell bro we really did.
So on behalf of Adam, my family, and myself thank all of you for letting us live our dream.
With Gratitude and Respect
Rick Mattioli
