Ballpark Eats - Part 2

2026 Summer Dump - was the busiest, most relaxed summer we’ve had in a long time. We just spent time in the present. grew a garden beyond my wildest dreams. Laney went to camp. Charley did an internship in the city. Spent many weekends and nights with great friends. Spent time with family and people who matter. Girls and I checked out and spent most of August in Ohio. I love returning to my roots. Played corn hole. Line danced. Ate a ton of amazing food. Oh yeah, and we brought home kittens. Summer was 10/10.

📍Citi Field | Part One of My Summer Ballpark Food Tour

Three ballparks. One very ambitious appetite.

First stop: Citi Field , which is basically a foodie adventure disguised as a baseball stadium. There’s an impressive amount of variety, and naturally, I wanted to try all of it.

The only problem? It was about 100° that day, so my appetite—and my ability to function—had some other ideas. 🥵

I definitely didn’t get to eat everything on my list, which means there’s only one solution: Round Two.

I get asked these questions daily. Well, I can finally answer: I’ve been eating! 😂

It’s no secret that chefs don’t have much downtime to get out and experience all the incredible food and drinks out there. So, now it’s my mission to try it all!

Foot Update! Things are good. REALLY GOOD. Still can’t walk on it, but I can move around carefully and get out of the house.

I don’t know why I was so taken aback by the comments and DM’s “diagnosing” me, or telling me to find a new Dr, or saying “you don’t need that much surgery”. But hey, in today’s society everyone knows everything, right 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m grateful for my surgeon and all the time, care and attention she’s put into me over the past 5 years. I’m excited to be healing better than expected. I’m so grateful for this cheeseburger I’m about to throw down, in a public place, with Matt and just talk about how lucky we are to have finally reached this point.
