My first event as a business owner and I couldn’t have picked a better one! Thank you to everyone who bought cookies from me today! Because of yall, I had almost $300 in sales today! 100% of my profit went to CANCER FREEZE!
Cancer freeze will always hold a special place in my heart. There’s nobody that I know that hasn’t been affected by cancer, whether it’s them or someone they love so much. My grandpa passed away three years ago, cancer took him from us. My mom had cervical cancer on and off for several years while she was a teenager. In fact, her body has to fight very hard to even be able to carry babies because of it. A softball coach I had/my friend’s mom has battled breast cancer for a few years now. And, a couple of months before I was born my godfather, TJ, lost his battle to cancer. My parents tell me so many stories about him - how much of a goofball he was, that his presence lit up any place that he walked into. He wanted to meet me so bad. I wish I could’ve known him.
But, cancer.
Right now there are millions all over the world fighting for their lives. There are moms, dads, babies, grandparents, sons and daughters… praying for complete healing, needing a miracle. Some will wake up tomorrow and have another day to fight; some won’t make it through the night. Some will be told that they are in remission; some will be told that the treatment isn’t working something more expensive needs to be tried. The world continues turning while families are left wondering what they are going to do, how are they going to make it.
That is why there is Cancer Freeze. To ease some of that burden, so that families can focus on the important parts.
I’m thankful that I was able to take part in today and the fruits of which were brought in. Thank you Caleb & Jennifer Davidson for planting this seed 18 years ago.
