Hello everyone!
This is not an exciting announcement that we wish it would have been. After 4 years, we have decided to end our run at Beggin' for an Eggin'. Our last day we will be open is July 5th (going out with a bang).
Although not an easy decision, it has been a long discussion between Bre and I on how long we can continue running B4anE at our current location or even looking to move into another building. The last 2+ months, we were looking at other locations, but we never even got off the ground floor (this whole time, we have been waiting on an estimate from our hood vent guy). Overall, it does not make sense financially to continue operating.
While this is not the ending we were hoping for, we are very proud of what we were able to accomplish these last 4 years. We started this project on a whim and created something that we felt was quite unique. We even picked up some accomplishments along the way, winning Best Omelet in Iowa 2024, BusinessRate Best Creston Restaurant 2025 & 2026 (based on Google reviews). We also had a lot of great reviews and feedback from the community, which we greatly appreciate.
We want to thank our family and friends for supporting us, as well as even helping us run the restaurant. Caterings alone, we had 10+ family members volunteer their time to accomplish some huge orders. We also want to thank the community for giving our breakfast at any hour and to-go order focused restaurant a chance. Over these years, we have had a good amount of guests that have enjoyed our food every week or even multiple times a week! We will miss the connections we made with them and others, as much as I assume they'll miss their personal custom orders.
Through this process, we learned a lot as owners that we were not aware of as restaurant managers (we had quite the wake up call, the first month we were open, the whole restaurant started flooding on balloon days weekend from the ceiling. That was quite the unique experience). There's a few mistakes we made along the way, while also dealing with drawbacks that were out of our control (i.e. rising costs being one). But overall, I would like to think we did a great job. Especially as some enthusiastic, dumb millennials that decided to open up a corny named breakfast restaurant in an old Little Caesars. The saddest part is not even losing the restaurant, but this will probably conclude 10+ years working alongside Bre at Fuzzy's Taco Shop, Mario's, and now B4AnE.
For those that read this long mess, I appreciate you taking the time. We did not want to just up and leave without any notice or explanation. We felt like you guys deserve that at the very least. We will continue to run the restaurant, like we always have until Sunday July 5th. Come get your Beggin' for an Eggin'....... while you can (lol).
With much Love,
Ryan & Bre Elliott
P.s. anybody hiring?
