HEY, DIXIE FANS!
Missing Dixie? Well, good news… she hasn’t disappeared! 😂 She’s just been hiding out in the kitchen at The Wooden Spoon in Gentry, AR, keeping everybody fed and happy! 🍳🥘
She’s usually back in the kitchen doing her thing, but if you stop in, just tell your server, “We came to see DIXIE!” 😂 They’ll know exactly who you mean!
She’d LOVE to see your smiling faces, so come grab some good food, say hello, and remind her that she can’t hide from her fans forever! 😂
The Wooden Spoon has a GREAT team and are ready to make you feel right at home. They are known for their yummy desserts, so come for a slice of pie and stay for a meal!

As our Kitchen & Catering Manager, Dixie may be one of our newest team members, but she’s already become an important part of The Wooden Spoon family. Her passion for serving others shines through in everything she does.
A self-proclaimed carb lover, Dixie enjoys spending her free time thrifting, making memories with family, and listening to Bible lessons. She’s also an entrepreneur at heart, having owned and operated three retail stores over the years—and fun fact… she once lived in Alaska!
Ask Dixie what she loves most about working here, and she won’t hesitate to tell you: the people. Whether it’s sharing stories, laughing with coworkers, or creating great food for our guests, she believes every meal is an opportunity to bring people together.
Her favorite part of The Wooden Spoon is simple but meaningful:
“We serve people, make scratch food, and bring smiles to so many faces. It’s a place to create memories.”
That perfectly reflects Dixie’s own purpose in life:
“My purpose is to serve others. I get to do that by creating food that helps bring people back to the meal table.”
