THE ROOST LATONIA CLOSED AUGUST 12th

The storm came through. Trees came down. Our little corner looked different in a matter of minutes. We can imagine yours did to.

And then came the helpers—with gloves, chainsaws, check-ins, and a simple, “What do you need?”

Tomorrow, The Roost will close to regroup, restock, clean up, and rest.

The coffee can wait a day.

Tonight, we’re simply grateful for neighbors being neighbors. ❤️ Businesses, City of Covington, Duke Energy, & Our Neighbors

Thelma and Louise are sticking around for August, so if you haven’t had a chance to try the July Menu- no worries, it’ll be here until September 1st.

Just a refresher of the menu, we will be having:

The Louise, a cold brew with a whatchamacallit inspired syrup (caramel, peanut butter, and chocolate), and house made cookie butter whip

The Thelma, a coke with a shot of chai
•
The Peach Pitt, a black tea with a peach syrup
•
The Desert Flower, a mango cardamom spritz
•
The Thunderbird, a blueberry vanilla latte with house made blueberry whip

You know what we love the most. Rainy weekends on our rooftop and people.

Rainy weekends have a funny way of revealing the best in people.

Despite the weather, you showed up…with smiles, conversations, coffee runs, and so much support. To our regulars, our new friends, and everyone in between... thank you. You filled our hearts all over again.

And to our Roost crew. . .you are the heartbeat of this place. Tough, kind, and always leading with love. We're so grateful for each of you.

This summer, The Roost Latonia is turning into a nostalgic roadside escape. Inspired by adventures of Thelma & Louise on desert highways, western campgrounds, vintage motels, and river-town adventures. It’s a place to pause, refuel, and get away for a little while; without ever leaving the tri-state.

SUMMER RESPITE, BE BACK on June 29th
For seven years...we've swept the floors, poured the coffee, shared the stories, and welcomed friends who became family.
And now?
We're up to something.
Not louder. Not bigger.
Just better.
From tomorrow through June 28, The Roost Latonia will be taking a little respite. A pause. A chance to catch our breath and tend to the bones of this old place we love.
The floors are being prepared for a fresh sand and shine.
A special thank you to the neighbors who showed up tonight, rolled up their sleeves, and helped move treasures, tables, and memories off the floor. That's the thing about community—it carries the weight when our hands can't.
Trusting.
Trusting.
Trusting.
That what comes next is worth the wait.
We have a few surprises tucked away.
So while the doors rest, know that good things are happening behind them.
And on June 29, we'll open them again.
Until then, we'll leave you with this:
Sometimes the most important work isn't in the doing.
And now you know... almost all of the story.
