From October 8–11, Covington will once again light up as part of the nation’s largest free public art festival.

Blink brings together stunning light installations, projection mapping, murals, and interactive art to create an immersive experience unlike anything else in the region and beyond.

And there are plenty of reasons to start, spend, or end your night in Covington.

What a morning👏👏👏 The Beechwood 2nd graders showed up and had a line out the market door🥹

In a time where negativity seems to be everywhere, their POSITIVE words make the market feel so much brighter!

What a JOY to celebrate these little ones, hear what makes them happy, and be encouraged to slow down, pause, and remember the greatest joys are the simplest things!

Parents, students, and neighbors- thank you for your patience as many of you know the market rarely sees this much action! Thank you for waiting and being so kind!

My heart is full ❤️

PS. y’all sold me out of hot chocolate, scones, brownies and chocolate chip cookies! Looks like I’ve got some work to do for tomorrow.

Neighbors! One of my favorite things about the market are the conversations I get to have with you and your kiddos. The market isn’t about the products offered but the conversations we get to have together and relationships we build.

Because of those conversations, I learn so much about you, your hobbies, your family, and your favorite places to go!

A few months ago one of the neighbors told me about a literal hidden gem in Cincinnati to surprise Aaron with for his birthday 🤫🍣 and it was INCREDIBLE!

Last night we had the most incredible dining experience at Roji.

If you haven’t heard of it, that’s because it’s completely hidden away. Walking in feels like you’ve been let in on a massive culinary secret.

The reservation process itself is part of the adventure. You have to secure a spot through their release system (pro-tip: set a 5:45a alarm because they are gone by 6:02a), but every ounce of effort is completely worth it.

Once you’re inside, the chef experience takes over.

It starts with the perfect record playing in the background (as perfect volume), to a lovely drink menu to explore, and only 8 guests total in the building! But watching the master craftsmanship up close, learning the story behind every single piece of fish, and tasting flavors that completely blew our minds made it so much more than just a dinner—it was pure art and the perfect experience to gift Aaron for his special day🥰

If you are a sushi lover, put this at the absolute top of your bucket list.

Join Covington Parks & Recreation for the first-ever PLAZAPALOOZA on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 3–9 p.m. at Covington Plaza (1 Madison Ave.).

This FREE community event will feature an evening of live music, local vendors, food trucks, and a b**r truck all along Covington’s riverfront.

The vendor list for Oktoberfest this year is pretty incredible! There’s so much for everyone! Here are my top 2 vendors.

1. Stefanie w/ D&L Haus: we met her back in 2021 and purchased our authentic dirndl and lederhosen. Every year we go back to her booth to buy accessories and take friends to meet her and support her business! She has the BEST authentic German clothes!

2. Chris w/ Lincoln Apparel: we met Chris this weekend! He is an artist in Chicago and his shirts are screen printed 😍 We loved hearing him share his passion for Lincoln and both got shirts! https://www.lincolnapparel.com/

Obviously so many more amazing vendors we have met over the years - but these are just two reasons to go to Covington Oktoberfest if you haven’t been yet this year!
