Need to book a catering message us limited days available over the next couple months

🚨We truly hate to have to make a post like this, but unfortunately, it has become necessary.

It’s especially disappointing for a small, family-owned business in a small town to feel like we have to make a post like this because a very small number of people feel it’s okay to take advantage of something we work extremely hard to provide.

Every Sunday, our takeout buffet is one set price for one box.

We do not weigh our boxes like some places do, and we do not charge extra for adding seafood to your box.

We want you to enjoy your meal! ❤️
Take whatever items you would like, and if your box doesn’t close because you got a great meal — that’s okay! 😂 We’re happy you chose Tropical Spice for your Sunday lunch.

However, there is a difference between filling your box generously and intentionally taking advantage.

🚫 Overloading a box 12 inches high and then filling an additional bag with food is NOT okay.

We moved the bags to the front of the restaurant in hopes that this would prevent the situation, but unfortunately, it continues to happen.

We are a small family-owned business. We work hard in the early morning hours to prepare a large variety of food for our Sunday buffet, and we price it fairly so our community can enjoy a great meal without spending a fortune.

We’re easygoing people. We want everyone to have a great experience, and we truly appreciate every single customer who supports us.

But please — don’t take advantage of our kindness.

If this is the way you choose to treat a local small business, then honestly, we would rather not have your business.

You know who you are… and we know who you are.

For transparency, our restaurant is equipped with cameras throughout the building that operate 24/7, with recordings retained for 90 days.

We’re not trying to embarrass anyone or make a big deal out of this. We’re simply asking for respect and honesty. ❤️

🚨If it happens again (the owner )will ask you to leave and you will be barred from our premises

We appreciate the overwhelming majority of our customers who do the right thing and continue to support our family and our little business.
