Stay where history lives. The Cottage House has a long and colorful history of serving travelers. The hotel began as a three-room cottage, built in 1867. Today we have 26 rooms in our historic hotel, 10 rooms in our motel unit, a Honeymoon Cottage and Hardaway Hideaway. The Cottage House is nestled in the Flint Hills. We have warm hospitality and victorian charm. We are 1 block north of Main Street with many retail stores and restaurants in walking distance including Riverbank Brewing. As always, you are welcome to bring your own favorite snacks & beverages for your stay. Council Grove Marina Cove is 2-3 miles away where pontoons, canoes can be rented along with great fishing spots too!

Join the Inflatable Costume Fun Run for a fun-filled 1-mile walk/run. No inflatable costume? You can still join in!

🕚 Race starts at 11:00 a.m.
📍 Check-in begins at 10:15 a.m. at Pocket Park on Broadway in Herington
🎟️ $20 entry fee • Children 5 and under are free with a paid adult

🏆 Awards for the first finisher in an inflatable or stuffed costume, runner-up, and “Life of the Party”!
👕 The first 12 registered receive a T-shirt and goodie bag.
