I’ve been keeping a secret in a maroon box for two weeks, and I’m almost ready to let you in on it. 🎀

It has been sitting on my workspace while I pack orders. Every so often, I open it just to look because this one feels extra special.

That’s all you get today!

What do you think is inside? Leave your best guess in the comments, then watch for the reveal. 💕

There are two kinds of Halloween people and I have a feeling you already know which one you are.

There’s the pink-ribbon, cinnamon-and-vanilla, curled-up-with-a-book kind. The one who wants Halloween to feel soft, nostalgic, and just a little magical.

Then there’s the kind who has been waiting eleven long months to turn off the lights, press play, and feel genuinely unsettled.

What I love about Autumn is that there’s room for both. It can be sweet and comforting, strange and spooky or a little bit of everything. However you celebrate, I hope you make time for the version that feels most like you.

So, don’t overthink it: sweet or spooky? Tell me in the comments and share the one October ritual you never skip. 🎃

Last Sunday of August. Tomorrow the calendar turns and everything picks up speed again. Before it does, one last question. Not what you want to add, but what you're finally ready to set down. I've got mine written in the front of my planner so I can see it all fall. Take your time with this one.

September is coming for my calendar and I am not letting it have all of me this time.

Every year I tell myself fall will be the season I slow down. And every year it turns into the loudest three months on the calendar. School stuff, holiday stuff, market stuff, everybody needing something by a certain date.

Last year I got to November and realized I had not had a single quiet morning since August. So this year I am picking my thing now, before the calendar fills up and takes the decision away from me. Fifteen minutes. Hot cup. No phone. That is the whole plan and it is small enough that I might actually keep it.

What is the one thing you are protecting this fall?

She said pour yourself a cup. She did not say coffee.

Ambition is our answer to the most famous morning ritual in American music. Enough backbone to get you through a workday and the second shift nobody pays you for.
