The Axe and Fiddle restaurant and pub is one of the Northwest’s premier live music and entertainment venues. Always offering great local craft brews and a full bar to complement our dinner menu, which features locally sourced, organic seasonal ingredients and nightly specials. You can enjoy live music or entertainment almost every night of the week. Our schedule is packed with music acts from down

the street, around the country, and from across the globe. We host special events throughout the year, and open mic, poetry night, trivia night and Science Pub every month. Our hometown staff is happy to make you comfortable, tell you about what’s cookin’ in the kitchen, and what you can expect to hear on stage. We pride ourselves on being, not just a public house for Cottage Grove, but a destination restaurant and music venue for local and not-so-local connoisseurs of fine food and quality entertainment. So come on in and enjoy a great dinner and try some local brews. Play a little pool or throw some darts, and catch some of the best live acts touring the west coast. What Would 20 Years of the Axe & Fiddle Look Like on a Beer Label? 🍺

We’re partnering with Plank Town Brewing Company to create a limited-edition barrel-aged and bottled Pilsnercelebrating the Axe & Fiddle’s 20th anniversary, and we’re looking for the artwork to go on the label.

Professional artists and amateurs are welcome. You can submit as many original designs as you want, there’s no entry fee, and you retain ownership of your artwork.

The recommended label size is 4" wide x 6" tall. Submit a high-resolution 300 DPI JPG, PNG, or PDF to [email protected], along with a printed copy dropped off at either Plank Town Brewing or the Axe & Fiddle.

The deadline is September 15 at 11:59 PM.

There’s also a People’s Choice Award, with voting taking place through Facebook and Instagram.

Fun fact… Just two years after opening, the Axe & Fiddle was already bringing touring bluegrass acts through Cottage Grove.

Back in 2008, a West Coast bluegrass tour had a stop at the Axe & Fiddle, right alongside stops in Seattle, Portland, Arcata, and San Francisco. Pretty cool to think that Cottage Grove was already on the bluegrass map that early.
