Well, all good things must come to an end. As such, we will be permanently closing Down To Earth Cafe And Deli at the end of this week on Sunday the 19th (possibly earlier if we sell out of everything). We had a great run and want to thank everyone for supporting our mission but now is the time to call it quits. After years of fires (we opened the same year as the Tubbs fire), a global pandemic and a year of extreme inflation of goods, labor and overhead, there is no good way forward for us while providing the quality we do at the prices we charge. Increasing prices won't help the situation and we stand by the quality of what we do and aren't willing to compromise to make it work.
We want to thank all of our loyal customers over the years for loving our food and supporting what we do. I know it isn't easy to find a good pastrami rueben, butterscotch pudding or beignets just anywhere, but this just doesn't work as a model anymore.
Please share with anyone that will miss us and come on down and check us out one last time and say goodbye, we will miss everyone.
