🥪 LOCAL HELP NEEDED — WE’RE BUILDING OUR DELI MENU! 🇮🇹❤️

We’re putting the finishing touches on the sandwich & Panini menu for Abruzzo’s Bakery & Deli, and we want to hear from YOU!

We already have some heavy hitters planned:

What’s that ONE sandwich you always look for on a deli menu? The one you’d drive across town for if somebody made it REALLY well?

💍 A VERY SPECIAL SATURDAY CLOSURE 💍

We wanted to give everyone a heads-up that Abruzzo’s will be CLOSED this Saturday evening, and for the very best reason.

Our daughter/stepdaughter is getting married! 🥹💒

Not only will we be there celebrating this incredibly special day with our family, but Abruzzo’s has the honor of catering her wedding, too! 🇮🇹🍝❤️

We’re so excited to trade the restaurant kitchen for the wedding reception for one evening and help make her day as beautiful (and delicious!) as possible.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and truly appreciate your understanding as we take this one evening to celebrate such an important moment for our family.

Thank you for supporting our small, family-owned business and allowing us to put family first for this very special occasion. ❤️

💰 $15/HOUR | FLEXIBLE EVENING HOURS

Abruzzo’s is growing our cheesecake and bakery operation, and we’re looking for another baker to join our team!

We need someone who is reliable, dependable, detail-oriented, and particular about their work. Our recipes and processes are established, so you must be able to follow directions and recipes exactly and produce a consistent product every time with little supervision.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is dependable and can work independently
• Pays close attention to detail
• Follows recipes and instructions precisely
• Takes pride in producing beautiful, consistent products
• Is comfortable with repetitive bakery and cheesecake production
Requires minimal supervision

🌙 THE HOURS ARE VERY FLEXIBLE!

Work can begin anytime after 7 PM — come in at 7 PM- 6am later in the evening, or even work a midnight/overnight shift. We care more about finding the right dependable person than requiring a traditional schedule.

This could be perfect for a night owl, someone looking for a second job, or someone who simply prefers working independently in the evenings quietly.

💰 Pay: $15/hour
📍 Corydon, Indiana

Experience is a plus, but reliability, consistency, attention to detail, and the ability to follow our recipes are most important.

A little moment of reflection. ❤️

This week I purchased some of the first brand-new pieces of equipment for our little business.

Are they the fanciest brands on the market? Absolutely not. 😂
Am I still buying off-brand and checking the scratch-and-dent section first? Absolutely. Some habits die hard. 🤣

But they’re NEW. And we were able to buy them.

When Abruzzos started, we had a cooler and a collection of hand-me-down, used, scratched, dented and “well… hopefully this thing works” equipment. 😂 We bought what we could afford, cleaned it up, fixed it when it broke, and made it work.

So seeing pallets of new equipment arriving this week for Abruzzos Bakery & Deli hit me a little differently.

We didn’t start this business with deep pockets or a kitchen full of shiny equipment. We started small, worked our butts off, reinvested what we made (and some from our retirements) and kept building.

And little by little, our community made this possible.

Every dinner, every cheesecake, every catering order, every recommendation, every share and every person who has walked through our doors has helped us grow.

We’re still bargain shopping. We’re still watching every dollar. And trust me, you won’t catch me paying full price if there’s a scratch-and-dent one sitting nearby. 😂

But going from hand-me-down equipment and a cooler to being able to purchase new equipment for our second location feels pretty darn special.

I’m really proud of our little business. 🥹❤️

And even more grateful for everyone who helped us get here. THANK YOU!

We’re building this thing one cheesecake—and apparently one scratch-and-dent appliance—at a time. 🇮🇹❤️
