Clodfelter's has a reputation for high-quality food, and, is looking for a part-time (10 to 30 hours per week) Cook who enjoys their work, shows up on time for their scheduled shifts, and, has a great attitude. Experience in high-volume cooking is a plus (but we will train the right person.) Your major responsibilities will be: Cooking, Prepping, Cleaning, and Date Checking, You will also be helping out with washing dishes. Must be able to work alone, as well as with others, It is critical to have clear communication with servers, cooking staff, and, management. At Clodfelters you will be in the role of Server/bartender, you will be responsible for providing dining service of meals/drinks and verifying age when selling alcohol to our customers in a courteous and friendly manner. In addition, you will be responsible for all restaurant/bar setup and cleanup.
Requirements:
*Prior high volume serving/bartending experience preferred (but will train)
* 21 or older to bartend
*Basic computer skills to enter tickets into system
*Communicate in English
*General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
*Prior experience in serving is preferred
Job Duties:
*Greet customers at each table with a smile to serve beverages, food, and courteously take food and drinks orders, refilling drinks or selling drinks
*Mixing cocktails
*Retain orders (up to 4 at one time)
*Bus and clear dishes from tables, following proper sanitizing procedures for tables and chairs as needed
*Complete side work -- as needed.
*Other duties as assigned
Hours:
Must be available LUNCH, dinner, and closing shifts. WEEKENDS are a must
Must work 90 days before requesting any time off
Must be able to work all event that is associated with OSU.
REQUIREMENTS: Required to have at least 3 months experience and 21 years of age. General knowledge of foodservice setup procedures and policies. Multitask, follow through and re-prioritize well to meet deadlines. Deal professionally, courteously, and tactfully with the public and coworkers. Read, write and communicate effectively with others. Thorough knowledge of liquor, beer, wine, and mixology and include knowledge of state liquor laws. Ability to mix drinks fast and accurately, make change quickly and accurately, and work in a typical restaurant/bar atmosphere requiring extensive periods of standing. Food Handlers Card preferred and need to obtain within 30 days. OLCC Service Permit preferred and need to obtain within 30 days. (extra training when scheduled)
JOB DUTIES/ Complete all restaurant opening and closing duties according to established rules of etiquette. Ensure that the restaurant/bar is set up and closed correctly. Maintain cleanliness restaurant/bar. Prepare and serve cocktails in a timely manner, stock, set up, and requisition liquors and all supplies as needed for restaurants/bar functions and check guests for proper identification. Wash dishes.
Other duties as assigned
HOURS: 8hr to 20hrs + per week. Hours and schedules will vary on a weekly basis
PAY: $12.25 per hour plus tips (tips after training period)
