At Across the Street Diner, we’re proud to be part of a downtown story that stretches back generations. Step inside and you’ll find our 1905 soda fountain, a piece of Texas history, just steps from the corner where Wolf Brand Chili was born.

Two Texas landmarks. One historic corner. Endless nostalgia. ❤️

In the heart of Historic Downtown Corsicana, Across the Street Diner is serving up more than breakfast. We’re serving a little piece of Texas history.

🥤 Home to Texas’ oldest continuously operating soda fountain, dating to 1905.

🐺 The birthplace of Wolf Brand Chili, which got its start right here on this corner in the 1890s, when Lyman T. Davis sold bowls of chili from his wagon for just five cents.

Today, the booths are still full, the coffee is still hot, and we’re still serving the classics: fluffy waffles, hearty omelets, sandwiches, fresh fruit and all the diner favorites that make you want to stay awhile.

Come for the food. Stay for the history. Come back for the nostalgia.
