It is with a heavy heart that we announce our time in Corry is coming to an end. Lillian’s will be ceasing business in Corry at the end of the summer.
The last decade of business in Corry and three years of the cafe has been such an amazing adventure, but we are being called to move on.
After our daughter’s death in February, our perspective and goals have shifted and our priorities have been redefined. To be honest, I no longer have the drive or energy to keep things going at the pace we were. Things just look really different now, but that’s ok.
This doesn’t mean that end of Lillian’s, just a pivot. 13 years ago when the idea was conceived, we envisioned a shop in Erie, and that is still the end goal. Maybe not this year or even the next, but we are continuing to work toward that vision.
So in the meantime, what can you do to help?
1. Business will carry on as usual for the next few months, so pop in and say hi! If you haven’t visited yet, then you still have time.
2. We are looking to sell as many antiques off by the end of summer as we can. While things aren’t marked down quite yet, we will eventually be marking things down and looking to get them out. While the antique side of the business was fun, it’s not something we are looking to continue in Erie.
3. We would love to see a local coffee shop remain in Corry and would love to help the right person do so in our space! If you or someone you know would be interested, please reach out! We would love to assist in any way we can in helping someone else build their dream.
Thank you you for three beautiful years and the support you’ve given us.
