My grandmother Hazel Clary got me started on baking a few years ago. She made the best buttermilk pies ever! She also made the best deserts ever. In 2013 she passed me some of her recipes and I’ve expanded on the buttermilk pies and I’m working on incorporating some of her other deserts into the mix. Nana has retired from baking, but is still giving me guidance. Thank you Nana for teaching a non-baker how to bake his favorite pie. I love you! This picture dates from 1995.
