This review made me pause. 🤎
We had our most successful summer yet, but also some difficult moments. And I realized I haven’t done a good enough job communicating why I built Kilates the way I did.
I come from coffee, Q Grading, roasting, sensory judging, and third-generation coffee producing and I care deeply about what goes into the cup.
I created Kilates to prove that coffee can be specialty, decadent and approachable without being sugar-forward.
Our flavors are made from scratch, our ingredients are intentionally chosen, and we use organic ingredients only. We work incredibly hard to keep that quality accessible.
I don’t want to make coffee that is simply sweet.
I want to make coffee that is genuinely good.
This review reminded me that little by little, people are starting to see what I’ve been trying to build.
And this little girl in the photo? She is the reason behind so much of it.
My grandmother kept this exact picture and looked at it every day. Today, I’m building the dream she poured so much love into.
So this is also a thank you—to everyone who supports the little girl in this photo by supporting what she built.
My promise is to always care about what I put into your body, to keep myself honest, never compromise on what I believe in, and to do a better job of telling you why!!
