Our girl came home yesterday and is resting and recovering well! We are forever grateful to the incredible team at VCA Emergency Vet Hospital for taking such wonderful care of her.

Thank you all for the overwhelming love, kind words, and prayers. Our family appreciates every single one of you! ❤️

❤️🐾 A Special Thank You to VCA Oso Creek Animal Emergency Hospital! 🐾❤️

Last night, our sweet Athena, our Great Dane, was hit by a gray Challenger that never stopped. It was one of the scariest nights of our lives.

When we arrived at VCA Oso Creek, the hospital was PACKED. Despite how incredibly busy and overwhelmed the team was, every single person, from the front desk to the vet techs and doctors, treated us with so much kindness, patience, and compassion.

Athena suffered a pneumothorax (collapsed lung), lacerations requiring sutures, and extensive road rash. She is still receiving treatment as I write this. 💔

We truly do not give our veterinary emergency teams enough credit! They work long hours, handle heartbreaking situations, and care for our fur babies when we need them most.

To the entire team at VCA Oso Creek, THANK YOU for your hard work, your compassion, and for taking such good care of our baby girl. We see you, and we appreciate you more than you know! ❤️
