🌱 The Grow Eco Center: A Birthday Call to Action 🌱
Three years ago, I purchased 20 acres of raw land in Lake Mathews, CA — a quiet, semi-desert landscape with a Mediterranean climate, depleted soil heavy in clay and decomposed granite. There was no water, no electricity — just potential. Just possibility.
For over 15 years, I’ve dreamed of living off-grid. Of taking a piece of forgotten land and helping it come back to life — not just for me, but for others who long to reconnect with nature, with each other, and with themselves.
When I opened my vegan restaurant in 2018, and launched a community food event in 2020, I gave everything I had — physically, mentally, and financially — to serve my community. That chapter shaped me deeply. And now, as I prepare to turn 50 on Tuesday, I realize that the past 50 years have been my training for this moment.
This is my call to action.
To celebrate my 50th birthday, I’m asking for something different. Not gifts for me, but a gift for the earth — a tree.
