Here's the part we like: none of that is a secret we're keeping. Most Italian places hide the kitchen behind a wall. Ours is right there, six feet from your table, all night long.

So when Terri says the lasagna is the best she's had anywhere, you can watch how it happens. Chef Paul builds it in the morning, layer by layer, before the doors open — sausage and three cheeses, because some things can't be rushed at seven o'clock on a Saturday.

Same with everything else. Pizza dough stretched by hand and fired while you watch. Pasta timed to the second, then finished in the pan with the sauce until every strand is coated. The bread rolls, the dough, the gelato, all of it made here.

And the tiramisu Marie is talking about? That one speaks for itself. It has been quietly outselling everything on the dessert menu since we opened.

One warning: the garlic cheese rolls sell out most nights. Order them when you sit down, not when you get around to it.

This is a neighborhood trattoria. It's not priced like an occasion, and you don't need one to come.
