Five years ago, 125 N. Main was a vacant bank building with the word *Community* carved into its foundation. Today there's a dining room, a hundred-year-old bar we restored instead of replaced, and a wood fire that hasn't gone cold since.
Down the street, the building that spent seventy-five years as Cornelia's pharmacy is now Farmacia.
Neither of those happened because of a business plan. They happened because a specific group of people kept showing up, kept bringing their friends, and put something behind the idea before there was much evidence it would work.
That's our members. Thank you. What you see downtown isn't something we built and you visit β it's something you helped build.
We just wrote to them about what membership means going forward, and here's some of it:
π₯ Membership works at **both** Community and Farmacia
π₯ First drink on us β every visit, either restaurant
π₯ 10% off food at both, no card to punch, nothing to ask for
π₯ Roll double sixes at the end of your meal and your food costs a dollar
π₯ The speakeasy beneath Farmacia β the old pharmacy basement, untouched since the 1940s, now a bar most guests never learn exists. Members just tell us they'd like it.
Plus what came before: the private member menu, your spirits kept behind the bar, tables held back for the nights you decide at six o'clock, tastings with our distributors, and your own steak knife.
And the member dinners. **This month's is Steak Flight Night** β a guided tasting through the cuts, side by side, at one table.
Later this year, a plaque goes up with every member's name on it. Not a donor list. A permanent record of who decided this building deserved a second life.
**We have 10 memberships open right now.** When they're filled, they're filled.
