We are writing to share the unfortunate news that The Reluctant Fisherman Bar & Restaurant will be closing indefinitely, effective immediately. The Reluctant Fisherman Inn will continue operations.
This decision was not made lightly. Over the past several months, we have explored available options to continue operations and preserve this beloved Cordova landmark. However, despite our best efforts, current market conditions have made it unsustainable to keep the restaurant and bar open at this time.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to our loyal guests, dedicated employees, and the entire Cordova community for your support over the years. The Reluctant Fisherman has long been a cherished gathering place for locals and visitors alike—a place where stories, friendships, and memories were shared overlooking the harbor.
While we are deeply saddened to close our doors, we remain hopeful that someone with a passion for this special place will carry its legacy forward. The owners would be open to discussing a potential sale with any qualified parties interested. We would like to support a path for new owners for The Reluctant Fisherman Bar & Restaurant
