41 years. 🍦🤍
What started in 1985 as a dream by George Giampetro Sr. and Nancy became something much bigger than an ice cream shop. It became a place where first jobs began, where high school and college students learned how to work hard, where families celebrated birthdays after little league games, where grandparents brought grandchildren for the same flavor they ordered decades earlier, and where neighbors turned a simple scoop of ice cream into a tradition.
Over the years, countless people have shaped Whip N’ Dip. Managers who kept the doors open through busy summers and quiet seasons. Team members who remembered regulars’ orders, stayed late to help a coworker, and made strangers feel welcome the moment they walked in. Some employees were here for a summer. Others for years. Every one of them left a mark.
Five couples who worked here fell in love behind this counter. Our Mango Swap became a neighborhood tradition. University of Miami students made Whip N’ Dip part of their college years, and generations of Coral Gables families made us part of their lives.
41 years isn’t an accident. It’s thousands of small moments of care, kindness, and showing up for one another.
To the Giampetro family: thank you for building something that feels like home to so many people. And to every employee, customer, regular, and friend who has ever walked through these doors—this anniversary belongs to you too.
